2017-2018 Meal Plan Information


Please note: If you are a resident student, you are required to be on one of the meal plans; no exception to this rule!

In order to meet your campus dining needs, Nichols College has designed the following meal plans for the 2016-2017 academic year:

The Meal Plan for First Year Students & Sophomores

The meal plan for First Year Students & Sophomores is The Unlimited Meal Plan.


The Unlimited Meal Plan. Flexible, Valuable, Convenient.

Enjoy open access to Lombard Dining. Come in any time, for whatever you want, as long as we’re open. With our new continuous dining and late night hours this is the perfect plan for anyone who wants total freedom deciding when and how often they help themselves to a meal, snack, or beverage.

You will also receive $150 Bison Bucks per semester with this plan!


Copper Beech Apartment Plan

  • Copper Beech Apt. Plan: 90 meals in the Dining Hall and $300 in Bison Bucks per semester.

*NOTE: Juniors & Seniors have up to the add/drop end date to change meal plans.

Plan Options for Juniors & Seniors

You have two meal plan options to meet your dining needs this year:


The Unlimited Meal Plan or The Ten Meal Plan

You will also receive $150 Bison Bucks per semester with this plan!


The Ten Meal Plan, which consists of ten meals per week in the Dining Hall and $250 in Bison Bucks per semester.

Commuter Meal Plans

The Nichols College commuter meal plan consists of 25 meals to be used in Lombard Dining Hall as well as $75 in Bison Bucks. 

In addition to our Commuter Meal Plan, you may also simply add Bison Bucks to your account.

Lost Your Meal Card?

Lost or stolen Meal Cards can be replaced. Should this happen to you, you will need to contact the Public Safety Department on campus at extension 5555 which will put you in touch with the Public Safety Dispatcher. Your card will be placed on "lost status." You will also have to contact Off Campus Solutions Company in order to place your Bison Bucks on hold. Please contact them at 1.800.345.6126. Please Note: Neither Nichols College or the Dining Services Department are responsible for lost or stolen cards. If your card is stolen and any amount of Bison Bucks are used, no monetary amount will be reimbursed to you.

Bison Bucks

Nichols College is pleased to inform you about the Bison Bucks program. The program allows students to extend their spending power beyond the campus. With the addition of off-campus locations as well as on, Nichols College and Bison Bucks is enhancing the student experience and broadening student access to local area merchants. Bison Bucks is an account on the students' ID cards and included as part of the meal plan cost. Their Student ID card provides added flexibility to the student to eat where they want when they want with added security. Bison Bucks has expanded to even more locations off-campus. Important Info

Note to Athletes

Meals are provided to you for away games, early and late feeds due to your athletic schedules. This is included in you meal plan. Each meal is automatically deducted from your meal plan for each of the meals listed above.

Dietary Needs & Illness

Do you have a particular dietary need? No problem! Our Campus Dining Services program can accommodate your special dietary requirements. For more information, please contact either the Catering Manager at Ext. 2346 or Executive Chef at Ext. 2317.

In addition, Sodexo provides a registered dietitian and nutritionist through our corporate office. If you have a need to speak with a registered Dietitian / Nutritionist, please contact Dave Hebert at ext. 2251.

Sick containers  are also available for students with a meal plan. If you are feeling under the weather and would like to have your roommate or friend bring some food to you, again call Dave Hebert or Harley Biercuk.

Dining Polices

One of our main goals is to provide a pleasant, clean, comfortable and satisfying dining experience. In order to meet this goal, we ask for your assistance with the following procedures:

  • Please bus your dishes and disposables from your table when you have finished dining
  • Please refrain from taking food, dishes or utensils from the dining area.
  • Remember that meal cards are non-transferable. Meal cards cannot be used by anyone but the purchaser.
